Rebekah Charles, MS, Intern
Psychotherapist Intern (she/her)
Rebekah Charles is a psychotherapy intern who views therapy as a journey toward self-acceptance, resilience, and growth. Her core belief is in creating a therapeutic space where every client feels safe, heard, and deeply understood. She recognizes that seeking therapy can be intimidating and that healing is often a non-linear process. Most importantly, Rebekah strives to meet clients with genuine compassion and authenticity, fostering an environment where they feel empowered to explore their experiences at their own comfortable pace.
Rebekah's clinical approach is warm, collaborative, and strongly rooted in Person-Centered Therapy. She utilizes principles from Cognitive Therapy and Gestalt Therapy, encouraging present-moment awareness and emotional expression as key components of the healing process. This combination allows clients to recognize how their thoughts and actions influence their present experience, while also accessing their innate inner strengths. Her work is further grounded in trauma-informed care, ensuring a sensitive and supportive framework for addressing past wounds.
With a focus on building inner strength, Rebekah is dedicated to supporting clients in building resilience and strengthening coping skills. She believes that by collaboratively exploring their unique stories and experiences, clients can move toward growth, acceptance, and ultimately, living a more authentic life. She also brings several years of experience as a Behavior Intervention Specialist, which informs her practical approach to supporting adults navigating mental health challenges and intellectual disabilities.
