Paulina Shilevsky, LMSW
Licensed Master Social Worker | In-Person in NYC and Virtually in NY | (She/Her)
Paulina Shilevsky, LMSW, believes that many of the struggles people face today make sense when viewed in the context of their life experiences. She understands that patterns that may no longer serve us often began as ways of adapting to difficult circumstances, relationships, or environments.
Her approach is warm, compassionate, and direct. She creates a space where clients feel accepted and understood while encouraging thoughtful exploration of the deeper factors contributing to emotional distress. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, she helps clients gain insight into recurring patterns, strengthen self-awareness, and develop a more connected relationship with themselves and others.
Drawing from relational and psychodynamic perspectives, Paulina works collaboratively with clients to explore how past experiences may continue to influence emotions, relationships, self-esteem, and coping strategies. She believes meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to be honest, curious enough to explore, and supported enough to grow.
Having grown up in Saint Petersburg and later making New York City her home, Paulina brings a thoughtful and culturally informed perspective to her work. She is deeply interested in the ways our experiences, relationships, and environments shape how we understand ourselves and navigate the world around us.
